01

Calmer reactions

Catch what's driving a reaction before it runs your whole day.

02

Clearer decisions

Less second-guessing. More trusting the answer you already have.

03

A kinder inner voice

Stop treating every wobble as proof something's wrong with you.

What becomes possible

What happens when you change the question?

Imagine being able to:

  • Catch the question behind an emotional reaction BEFORE it takes over your whole afternoon.
  • Spot when you've mistaken an interpretation for a fact. (Your brain does this a lot. It's very confident and often wrong.)
  • Question the labels you've used for years. "I'm an anxious person." "I'm bad at decisions." "This is just how I am."
  • Make decisions with more clarity and a lot less second-guessing.
  • Respond to your kids from calm, not from the old script you inherited.

This is for you if…

You've changed so much. So why do the same old reactions keep showing up?

You've read the books. You've done the journaling. You can explain your attachment style at a dinner party.

And STILL. One comment from your mum, one messy kitchen, one unanswered text, and you're right back in the old feeling like nothing ever changed.

That's not you failing. That's a question running underneath, quietly doing its job.

  • The mum who hears herself in her kids. Your own inner voice is coming out of their mouths, and you want that pattern to stop with you.
  • The personal-development veteran. You've read it all and understand it all, but you still feel the same things.
  • The high achiever who's always bracing. You're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix, because part of you never fully switches off.
  • The overthinker. You replay conversations, second-guess decisions, and wait to feel ready before you start anything.
  • The curious newcomer. You want the science of how your mind actually works, not just another affirmation.

You're in the right place.

The myth

What if you've been trying to change the answer, when the question was the problem all along?

Most advice tells you to fix the answer:

  • Think more positively.
  • Control your reactions.
  • Find a better story.

But your brain cannot leave a question unanswered. Ask it "what's wrong with me?" and it goes off hunting through your whole life for evidence. And it ALWAYS finds some.

It does not check whether the question was fair.

Change the question, and the search changes with it.

If you want different reactions, you need different questions.

That's what this series teaches you to do.

Better Questions

8 short episodes that help you catch the questions running underneath your everyday life, and rebuild them into ones that open things up instead of shutting them down.

No homework. No 5am routine. No streak to keep. Press play on the school run, in the bath, or hiding in the downstairs loo for 10 minutes of peace.

Each episode ends with 1 rebuilt question to carry with you. Not to answer. To carry. (A question you answer closes. A question you carry keeps working.)

Sound familiar?

I want to feel different, but…

"I've tried mindset stuff before and it never sticks."
"I don't have time for another thing."
"I KNOW all this already."
"Positive thinking just makes me feel fake."
"If I calm down, I'll lose my drive."
"Maybe I'm just wired this way."

It's not your fault it hasn't stuck.

Most mindset work goes after the answers. New affirmations, new habits, new rules. Meanwhile the old question keeps running in the background, quietly undoing it all.

You're not broken.

You're wired. Your brain reads familiar as safe, even when familiar hurts.

You don't need more information.

You need to notice what you're already asking.

You won't lose your edge.

The charge you think is your engine is usually the handbrake.

I get it, because I've been there too.

For years I was a chameleon. I'd done the courses, read the books, and could talk about mindset all day. And still, the moment things started going well, some part of me would brace for it all to fall apart.

Nothing actually shifted until I stopped arguing with the answers and started listening to the questions underneath them. That's what I've put into these 8 episodes.

The ground underneath every reaction, and why finding it doesn't mean you stop caring.

Real talk

Better Questions isn't for everyone.

I'd genuinely rather you didn't buy this if it's not the right fit.

  • You want a habit tracker, a 30-day challenge or a checklist to tick off.
  • You're looking for a quick fix that makes hard feelings disappear forever. (If you find one, please send it my way.)
  • You'd rather be told what to think than learn how your thinking works.
  • You're in crisis right now. Please reach out to a professional first. This will still be here when you're ready.
Imagine this

A few weeks from now…

  • The kids spill juice on the sofa and it's just… juice. Not proof you're failing.
  • You notice the old spiral starting, and you catch it on the first lap instead of the tenth.
  • You stop waiting to feel ready before you start the thing.
  • Your energy goes into your actual life, not into bracing for what might go wrong.
  • You trust your own judgement without polling 4 friends first.
  • Your kids hear a different voice from you, the one you wish you'd heard growing up.

If that's the life you've been craving, it starts with 1 better question.

FAQ

Got questions? Good.

How long are the episodes?

10 to 15 minutes each. Short enough for nap time, long enough to land.

How do I access it?

Instantly. You'll get a private link by email straight after checkout. No app, no login, no password you'll forget by Thursday.

I've done loads of personal development already. Is this different?

Yes. Most work tries to change your answers. This goes one layer down, to the questions producing them. It's built for people who already "know it all" and still feel the old things.

Does being "neutral" mean I stop caring?

No. Neutral isn't the middle, and it isn't numb. It's the ground you stand on, so you can care without being knocked over.

If I lose the charge, will I lose my drive?

The opposite, usually. The charge you think is your engine tends to be the handbrake.

Is this only for mums?

Not at all. I talk about motherhood a lot because I'm living it, but your brain asks questions whether or not you have kids. If you've got a mind, it's for you.

Do I need the workbook and album?

Nope. They're a lovely optional extra. The series works completely on its own.

Can I get a refund?

Because Better Questions is digital and you get instant access to everything, all sales are final and it isn't refundable. Not sure yet? Have a read of who it's for (and who it's not for) above first.

You don't need a better version of yourself.

You never did. There was nothing wrong with the one you've got.

You've just been living inside answers to questions you never chose. Questions you picked up as a kid, or from a teacher, or from a hard year you'd rather forget.

You can keep trying to fix the answers. Or you can go 1 layer down and change what your brain is searching for in the first place.

You deserve to feel at home in your own head.

That's what Better Questions is for.

Your guide

Hi, I'm Joanne.

Certified Mindset Coach, NLP Practitioner, and mum of 2 in Edinburgh, usually with a cold coffee somewhere nearby.

I started sharing what I'd learned about language, the nervous system and the science of the mind, and somehow 540,000 of you turned up. (Still not over it.)

I don't teach from a place of having it all figured out. I teach from inside the process. Everything in Better Questions is something I've tested on my own brain first, usually at 2am.
